Maurizio Sarri sends Chelsea representatives to Italy to tie up huge transfer of juventus superstar

According to Don Balon, the Italian has sent representatives to Turin in order to open talks with Dybala’s ‘environment’, with the intentions of this being to try and bring the forward to the club before Eden Hazard seals a move away.

The report also notes that Dybala’s move to the Blues depends on when Hazard seals his departure, and when you consider that Don Balon also note that Hazard won’t be leaving Stamford Bridge in the winter window next month, it seems like Chelsea may have to wait until the summer to get their hands on Dybala.

Chelsea signing the Argentine international would be a huge move for the club, as it would mean that the west London side are getting their hands on one of the most talented forwards in world football.

Dybala has been a key part of the Juve side that have dominated Italian football these past few years, with his goals and overall play being key to the Old Lady’s success.

The 25-year-old hasn’t been in the best form of his career this term, as the forward has only managed to score twice in 17 league appearances for Massimiliano Allegri’s side.

However despite this, Dybala’s quality is still clearly there for all to see, and Chelsea signing him would mean they have fine replacement for Hazard when the Belgian finally calls time on his stint at Stamford Bridge.

I want to leave!!! Chelsea ace in talks to seal exit, tipped to depart for mystery club in January

The 31-year-old has enjoyed a memorable spell at Stamford Bridge since arriving in 2014, playing a key role in winning two Premier League titles, an FA Cup and League Cup.

However, following Maurizio Sarri’s appointment this past summer, the Spaniard has managed to make just 14 appearances in all competitions so far this season having fallen down the pecking order below summer signings Jorginho and loanee Mateo Kovacic.

Despite the fact that Chelsea are competing on multiple fronts including in the Europa League, it hasn’t given Fabregas as much playing time as he would like, and coupled with the fact that his current contract is set to expire in the summer, it has raised genuine question marks over his future.

According to Marca, he is now in talks with Chelsea to reach an agreement which will see him move on in January, which would arguably suit the club too given that they would receive a fee for the stalwart rather than lose him for nothing at the end of the season.

Chelsea beat Liverpool in the race to sign £45m Bundesliga star - 'deal to be finalized in January'

Borussia Dortmund have reportedly approved Christian Pulisic’s move to Chelsea next summer, with Liverpool now set to miss out on the midfielder.

According to German publication Bild, the Blues have successfully negotiated a £45 million deal for the 20-year-old, who is now expected to arrive at Stamford Bridge in the middle of 2019.

The United States international joined Dortmund back in 2016 and has since gone on to make over 100 appearances for the club, contributing 15 goals from the middle of the park in the process.

This season, however, he has found himself on the fringes of the action under Lucien Favre at Westfalenstadion, after the emergence of Jadon Sancho as one of Europe’s most promising young players.

The English winger has been a regular starter for Dortmund which has seen Pulisic pushed to the bench, but there is still no doubt about the quality he possesses as either an attacking midfielder or a wide player.

His versatility and technical ability on the ball at such a young age has earned him the interest of several top clubs, including Liverpool, Arsenal and Chelsea – as per ESPN – but it appears now that the latter has won the race to secure his signature.

The Italian boss is moulding a new squad to fit his ‘Sarri-ball’ philosophy and Pulisic could slot nicely into the midfield, alongside the likes of N’Golo Kante and Jorginho.

The Blues are targeting major trophies next year and beyond, with major changes to the squad over the next few months extremely likely and this latest news will surely come as a huge boost to supporters heading into the second half of the 2018-19 campaign.

Lionel Messi fires back at Ronaldo over challenge to play in Italy

Barcelona superstar, Lionel Messi, has finally responded to Cristiano Ronaldo challenging him to sign for an Italian team.

Ronaldo left Real Madrid after nine years in the summer, to sign for Juventus, which all but ended his long-term rivalry with the Argentine.

Since leaving La Liga Ronaldo has been continually asked to discuss Messi and earlier in the season set the Barca star a challenge.

The Portuguese said: “I played in England, Spain, Italy, Portugal, in the national team, while he is still in Spain. Maybe he needs me more.

“For me, life is a challenge, I like it and I like to make people happy. I would like him to come to Italy one day. Like me, accept the challenge.”

Messi, in an interview with Marca, has insisted he does not need to change.

“Accepting Ronaldo’s challenge to join Italian football? I don’t need any change.

“I’m at the best team in the world. My challenges are renewed year after year. I do not need to change teams or leagues to set new goals. I am at home and I do not need to change,” he said.

What Unai Emery said about Mesut Ozil after replacing Arsenal star at half-time vs Brighton

The Gunners had taken the lead through Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang early on, but Jurgen Locadia drew the hosts level before Emery’s side toiled in the second half and were unable to find a second breakthrough.

Nevertheless, the decision to replace Ozil at half-time undoubtedly raised eyebrows and question marks over whether or not the playmaker had perhaps irked Emery, but the Spanish tactician has insisted that his decision was merely tactical as he believed that it would help his side secure victory.

Unfortunately for him and Arsenal, it didn’t result in the desired outcome, as they remain in fifth place while falling two points adrift of Chelsea in fourth spot.

“It’s only tactical — we’ve changed the idea at half-time in other matches, with other players,” he is quoted as saying by ESPN.

“Today I thought to do it with Mesut, but it’s only tactical — not another problem. Tactically, some matches I did that [made early changes] and I wanted to control it better with the positioning on the pitch. But in the second half we couldn’t do our ideas on the pitch for imposing ourselves. … We created less chances in the second half and not clear [chances].”

Ozil will undoubtedly have been left disappointed not to come out for the second half, while it isn’t the first time that he’s failed to fit into Emery’s tactical plans this season as he has been left out of the line-up in certain fixtures.

In turn, it will raise concern that the Arsenal boss felt it necessary to replace him at half time, as it arguably raises doubts over his importance to the side moving forward and whether or not he will play a fundamental role when the Gunners need to dig deep and grind out a win.

Arsenal face Liverpool in a crunch clash at Anfield on Saturday, and so time will tell if Ozil is given the nod by his manager for that one as the visitors will surely need maximum defensive effort and a certain tactical shape from everyone to shut out the Premier League leaders.

Done deal!!! 'Morata out' as Chelsea agree swap deal with European giants to be finalized in January

Chelsea and AC Milan have reportedly reached an agreement to swap Alvaro Morata for Gonzalo Higuain, when the transfer window reopens in January.

Both strikers have endured underwhelming campaigns, with Morata not even making the Chelsea squad for the last three Premier League matches.

Higuain on his part, has not scored since October.

But according to Sport Mediaset, the two sides are “perfecting the final details” of an exchange which is now described as inevitable, with just the nature of the swap still to be decided.

Technically, Higuain is still on loan at San Siro from Juventus, so the Italian champions must give their approval to the deal.

But Milan bosses believe upcoming games against Frosinone and SPAL will be his final, goodbye appearances.

There are two options on the table, and the first would see Higuain’s loan at Milan terminated and he would move to Stamford Bridge on loan instead and the possibility to make it permanent in the summer, with Morata going the other way on an 18-month loan of his own.

Barcelona set to pair Star Player with €100M offer to seal transfer of world class attacker

Barcelona are reportedly ready to use Ousmane Dembele as a makeweight in a deal to bring PSG and France star Kylian Mbappe to the Nou Camp.

Mbappe is one of the hottest prospects in world football, and it seems like Barca are ready to go all out in order to get their hands on the 20-year-old Frenchman.

According to Diario Gol, the Spanish giants are prepared to offer Dembele and €100M to PSG for Mbappe, and that if PSG reject the offer, the Blaugrana will try to use Philippe Coutinho in a deal for the French international.

The report also notes that Barca are aware that if they do manage to sign Mbappe, it will deal a blow to Real Madrid’s transfer plans, as it means Los Blancos will find it extremely hard to pry Neymar away from the Parc Des Princes.

Barca signing Mbappe would be a massive boost for the club, as not only would the club be delivering a bitter blow to rivals Real Madrid, but the club would also be bringing in a player who’s more than capable of replacing Luis Suarez in their attack.

The Uruguayan turns 32 in January, and seeing as the forward has been rapidly declining in recent seasons, Barca are definitely going to have to replace the former Liverpool man sooner rather than later.

And it seems like Mbappe could very well be the man for the job if this report from Diario Gol is anything to go off…

Arsenal rival Manchester Utd for BIG transfer as Barcelona tells player he can leave

Arsenal and Manchester Utd are reportedly interested in the potential transfer of Barcelona midfield starlet Riqui Puig, according to sources in Spain.

The 19-year-old looks a promising talent but seems some way away from the Barca first-team at the moment, which could open the door to a departure from the Nou Camp and a switch to the Premier League.

That’s according to the latest transfer gossip from Don Balon anyway, who claim Barcelona are prepared to listen to offers for Puig which could clear the way for him to wind up at either Arsenal or Utd.

Puig could be the next young player to quit Barcelona and make their name in English football instead, with Cesc Fabregas perhaps the best example of a player who did that when he joined Arsenal as a teenager.

Hector Bellerin is another who made the same move, while Gerard Pique was also snapped up by Manchester United as a youngster and made his breakthrough there before returning to the Catalan giants.

Puig could well end up being a smart signing for whoever snaps him up, with both Arsenal and Utd having midfield issues that could see them benefit from a bit more depth in that area.

Important Breakthroughs in Medicine and Progress on Mars

One of the most striking aspects of scientific and technological developments of 2018 has been the emergence of China as an outright leader – in areas ranging from genetic engineering to space missions. More widely, science continued its internationalizing trend, with smaller players such as the UAE and KSA participating in major endeavors (satellites and space probes), alongside the US, Europe, Russia, India, Japan, and others. In space, Mars was the main area of progress, while in science, many of the most important advances were made in the field of medicine. But of course, there were a number of noteworthy and intriguing developments in other fields of science and technology.

Chelsea boss Maurizio Sarri ready to seal €75million transfer and change Eden Hazard’s position

Chelsea manager Maurizio Sarri is reportedly prepared to move Eden Hazard into a more central role as he considers a transfer for Lyon star Nabil Fekir.

The Italian tactician looks in need of some changes to his attack this January, with the Blues falling away a little recently after an initially strong start to the season.

One big reason for this is the lack of firepower up front, with Alvaro Morata and Olivier Giroud both struggling to chip in with nearly enough goals.

According to the Telegraph, CFC are already negotiating a possible swap deal involving Morata and AC Milan striker Gonzalo Higuain.

The Argentina international would undoubtedly be a fine upgrade, but the Telegraph also link Lyon’s Fekir as an option, which would move Hazard into more of a central striker position.

The Belgian has occasionally filled in there to good effect, and seems to have all the ingredients to shine there as Dries Mertens did under Sarri at Napoli.

Fekir is also a huge talent who would undoubtedly shine at a bigger club if given the chance.

Barcelona have also been linked with the France international by Sport, who claim he’d have an asking price of €75million.

Arsenal to use Mesut Ozil in swap deal to land out-of-contract midfield maestro

Ozil has been struggling for game time with the Gunners as of late, with the player seemingly failing to win over Unai Emery despite being one of the club’s most creative stars.

And the club have been tipped by former player Perry Groves to use the German international in a swap deal to bring Rabiot to north London, according to the Daily Star.

Speaking about Ozil, Groves stated “I think PSG could be an option for him. One, they can pay his wages, but two, they’ve got the lad Adrien Rabiot. Emery likes him because he plays in the ten role but also works hard.

Groves then went on to add “He’s at an impasse with PSG at the moment because he won’t a sign a new contract and he can talk to clubs on January 1. I wouldn’t be surprised if there was a little swap deal on the cards.”

Given Emery’s familiarity with Rabiot, as well as the fact that the Frenchman is seven years younger than Ozil, makes this shout from Groves seem like an idea that the Gunners should definitely take into consideration.

Rabiot hasn’t started a game for PSG since December 5th, and with his contract with the French giants set to expire in the summer as per the Daily Mail, it seems like the midfielder’s time in Paris is coming to a close.

If Emery ended up falling out with Ozil in the near future, it certainly wouldn’t be a bad idea for the club to initiate a swap with PSG for Rabiot, a move that would be great for all parties involved.

Students and Faculty at American University Call for “Minority Only” Spaces

Students and faculty are calling for “minority only” spaces at American University (AU) in Washington, D.C. Supporters of the proposed spaces believe that they will somehow foster diversity on the campus following a year of racial tensions.

Diversity through exclusion: The strategy seems antithetical to itself, but then again, so does much of leftist thought.

An incident first reported in May of 2017, in which bananas with racist messages written on them were found hanging from trees on the campus, triggered the alleged racial tension which is said to exist on the campus.

In response to the incident, American University created the Hub for Organizing Multiculturalism and Equity (HOME), which is meant to be a place where students of any ethnic or racial background “can just come and be,” according to Fanta Ay, the vice-president of campus life and inclusive excellence.

Chelsea boss Maurizio Sarri asked about Serie A striker deal amid rumours - here's his answer

The Blues are having forward issues once again, with Alvaro Morata not performing as expected and Olivier Giroud not being seen a long-term first choice option.

It’s been reported that Chelsea will look to buy a new striker in January or in the summer.

Higuain was linked with Sarri’s Chelsea in the last transfer window but Juventus elected to send the 31-year-old to rivals Milan.

Sarri spoke about Higuian in his pre-match press conference on Friday.

“I like him very much. He is a wonderful player and a wonderful man,” Sarri said.

The 59-year-old has previous history with Higuain - managing him at Napoli for a season before the striker was sold to Juventus for £80m in 2016.

Sarri, though, chose not to say too much more about his former player, stating the fact that he’s contracted with another club.

“But I don’t want to talk about Higuain because I have two strikers and Gonzalo is playing for AC Milan, so I think it’s better not to talk about him at the moment,” he added.

Meanwhile, Morata hasn’t hit the heights that his price tag suggested when Chelsea signed him in 2017.

The Spaniard often lacks self-confidence and is prone to spending long periods without scoring.

Giroud, on the other hand, isn’t seen as a first-choice striker by the club and often finds himself benched for bigger games.

In recent games, Sarri has chosen to start with Hazard up front instead.

Mesut Ozil's fate revealed after fresh Unai Emery decision

Ozil has been linked with a move away from The Emirates after struggling for game time under Unai Emery this season.

The Spanish coach has tried to implement a high octane style in North London, which most players have taken to seamlessly.

Ozil, known for his creative but relaxed style, has failed to segue into the new regime, however.

The Gunners playmaker is the highest-paid player at the club, pocketing £350,000-a-week.

Arsenal are now willing to offload their prized asset, according to The Independent.

Unai Emery has ostensibly become fed up with the 30-year-old’s resistance to his methods, and it is the pair’s disagreement on Ozil’s role in the side which has proved the tipping point.

Emery wants all of his midfield and attacking players to enthusiastically undertake their defensive duties, but Ozil believes he should be given artistic freedom.

One training ground source told the national paper: “Every player has bought into the manager’s ideas so far, except Mesut.”

The German’s hefty wage could prove a sticking point in his sale, though, as not many clubs will be willing to match - let alone better - it.

Ozil was rewarded his bumper contract this February following the departure of talisman Alexis Sanchez, with then-chief executive Ivan Gazidis desperate to retain the squad’s blue-chip players.

The deal expires in 2021, but the player is ageing and it is unlikely Arsenal will receive a box-office transfer fee for his services.

Ozil was left out of the squad which lost 2-0 to Tottenham in the League Cup on Wednesday night, with the manager citing “tactical reasons”.

Chelsea star denies he is in talks with the club over a new contract

The defender has been superb for the Blues this season

Antonio Rudiger has shut down reports that he is in contract negotiations with Chelsea over a possible extension.

The 25-year-old only joined the Blues in the summer of 2017 and has been in superb form this season, forming a defensive partnership with David Luiz and putting in some excellent performances.

Rudiger was arguably the signing of Antonio Conte's summer, while in a back four he has started every Premier League game of the campaign so far.

The German international still has a contract that runs until the end of the 2021/22 campaign, and while there had been suggestions he could extend that deal, he insists that just isn't the case right now.

"That’s not the case to be honest," Rudiger told ESPN about whether he was going to sign a new deal.

"There’s no need, because I still have three-and-a-half years to go.

"There’s no speaking between me and the club. It’s also not necessary at the moment either with three-and-a-half years to go."

Barcelona grow DESPERATE for Chelsea transfer after fresh injury blow

Barcelona boss Ernesto Valverde has endured a tough time at the Nou Camp selection his defence.

A lack of strength in depth at Barcelona has imposed extra pressure of Valverde’s current defensive crop.

And a fresh to injury for Thomas Vermaelen - who joined Samuel Umtiti on the physio’s bench - has got Barca worried.

As Express Sport revealed on Sunday, Barcelona are keen to sign Christensen on a short-term loan deal in January.

And now Spanish newspaper Mundo Deportivo claim their interest is ramping up in light of Vermaelen's latest injury.

Christensen, 22, has played just nine games for Chelsea this season - largely in the Europa League.

The Denmark international appears not to be in manager Maurizio Sarri’s immediate plans.

And Mundo Deportivo claim Barca are eying a deal with the Blues to draft Christensen in.

However, Cologne’s Jorge Mere is another player supposedly on Valverde’s radar.

It is added that Barca do have money to spend in January and that the remit is to strengthen the squad only if Valverde believes it will aid their Champions League and La Liga exploits.

Barca are currently three points ahead of Sevilla at the top of La Liga, with rivals Real Madrid a further two points behind in fourth.

Chelsea start desperate hunt for new signings, as three players want to leave the club

CHELSEA have started a desperate hunt for homegrown players so they don't fall foul of quota rules, it's claimed.

Premier Leagues clubs are required to have eight UK-schooled players in their squads each season.

The Mail report that Danny Drinkwater, Victor Moses and Andreas Christensen are all keen to leave Stamford Bridge - and they are all seen as homegrown.

The futures of Gary Cahill, Cesc Fabregas and Rob Green are also uncertain under Maurizio Sarri. All three of those are homegrown too.

If, in the most extreme of possibilities, they all quit the club, Chelsea will be left with just two - Ross Barkley and Ruben Loftus-Cheek - homegrown talents.

That's left the club concerned and they are now hunting fresh blood to ensure they comply with quota rules next season.

Their first plan is to promote a number of their leading academy products at the start of next season to help ease the strain.

One of those likely to be involved in 2018-19 is Fikayo Tomori, who is currently out on loan at Derby.

Tomori played for Canada Under-20s but has since played for the English age-group sides.

The defender, who turns 21 next week, will be classed as a homegrown player next season.

Chelsea are also confident of completing a £30million swoop for England striker Callum Wilson next month.

That's despite Bournemouth boss Eddie Howe issuing a hands-off warning to Chelsea.

"Callum has had an excellent season to this point," Howe said.

Barcelona star demands move as Maurizio Sarri makes ‘juicy’ offer

Maurizio Sarri was appointed Blues boss less than a month before the Premier League season got up and running.

The Italian is keen to make up for lost time and bring in some new additions to his squad.

One player who could move to Stamford Bridge is Denis Suarez.

The Spaniard is out of favour at the Camp Nou and is regarded lower in the pecking order than Carles Alena and Arturo Vidal.

Suarez now wants a move that is going to aid his development and see him play regular football.

Now according to Gol Digital, there is a ‘very juicy’ offer on the table from Chelsea that the 24-year-old wants to accept.

Given his little value in the Barcelona squad, the club could be prepared to cash in on the midfielder at a cut-price.

According to the Mirror, Suarez is valued at around £15million.

Arsenal hit by blow as training ground injury rules star out of Europa League clash

Arsenal take on Qarabag on Thursday night as they look to end their Europa League group stage with a fifth win from six games.

The 3-0 success against FC Vorskla in Kiev last time out has already guaranteed the Gunners passage through to the knockout stages as group winners and Unai Emery has admitted he will make several changes for the game with Qarabag.

"Our first aim in this competition, we have done, which was to be first in the group," said Arsenal's head coach.

"But we respect this competition and we respect Qarabag and so our objective is to win and we are going to give players chances to take responsibility, take rhythm and take confidence.

"Because we are going to play a lot of matches, in the next 10 days we play four matches - each of them very important - so we are going to use some different players with players coming from the under-23 team."

One teenager who will not be involved on Thursday night, however, is Emile Smith Rowe - who has been one of the stars of Arsenal's Europa League campaign so far, scoring twice - including in the game against Qarabag in Azerbaijian.

Smith Rowe has been involved in four of Arsenal's five European games this season, only missing the game in Lisbon against Sporting CP.

But he will also have to sit out Thursday night's clash at the Emirates after suffering an injury during training this week.

The playmaker did not train with the squad on Wednesday at London Colney, but Emery did include seven youngsters in the final session - with all seven set to be in the matchday squad against Qarabag.

They were Dominic Thompson, Joe Willock, Eddie Nketiah, Zech Medley, Charlie Gilmour, Tyreece John-Jules and Bukayo Saka.

What Ernesto Valverde said about Ousmane Dembele and his temperament amid Arsenal transfer

Barcelona boss Ernesto Valverde has admitted that he will "deal with Ousmane Dembele internally".

The France forward has had a torrid time in Barcelona since joining the club from Borussia Dortmund for a reported £96million in the summer of 2017.

He has struggled to nail down a regular first team place and has allegedly had a number of disciplinary problems.

Dembele scored during the 1-1 draw against Tottenham on Tuesday night, but was reported to have turned up late for training on Monday morning.

The forward has been linked with a move away from the Camp Nou and was reportedly a £100million target for Arsenal in the summer transfer window, although a move was never going to happen late on deadline day.

Dembele, who is close friends with Arsenal striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang after their time at Dortmund together, was pictured with the Gunners frontman and a number of other Arsenal players during the summer, fuelling speculation of a move.

And the speculation has continued with these disciplinary problems.

Barcelona faced Tottenham in the Champions League on Tuesday night and Valverde was asked about the Frenchman during his press conference.

He said: "We will solve it internally and in the best way possible by helping the player.

"He is a player who gives us many things in the field, but here we have rules of behaviour that we hope will be the same for everyone.

"We will try to solve this in the best way possible if we are able to get it right. but I have already said that we hope to solve it internally."

Maurizio Sarri confirms his plans for Eden Hazard which excites Chelsea supporters

The Blues have found goals hard to come by so far this season. Of all the teams currently in the top five of the Premier League table only Tottenham Hotspur (30) have scored fewer (33).

Much of this is down to a reliance on Hazard  to produce the goods.

Olivier Giroud has netted just once in the top flight of English football thus far, whilst Alvaro Morata has chipped in with six but his confidence has dipped of late and wasn't in the matchday squad for the win over the champions on Saturday evening.

Instead Hazard led the line, playing as a 'false nine' and claimed the assists for N'Golo Kante and David Luiz in either half as the Blues ran out 2-0 winner at Stamford Bridge.

Sarri was clearly impressed with the Belgian international's display and confirmed he plans to use this option in the future.

"He had some problems at the beginning of the match, but I think he played really a very great second half," Sarri told reporters . "Maybe he deserved to score.

"I think it's a very good option. We will play like today in the future for some matches of course."

Playing without an out-and-out centre-forward did prove rather successful for Sarri at former club Napoli.

Dries Mertens was the internal solution when Arkadiusz Milik suffered a serious knee injury and he managed to score 22 goals across all competitions last season.
