Arsenal are reportedly ready to consider meeting Barcelona’s £50million asking price to seal the transfer of Malcom before deadline day.
The Gunners could do with more quality in their attack and Malcom has been unfortunate not to play more in his time at the Nou Camp.
The Brazilian starlet looked a quality young player with a bright future at previous club Bordeaux, but has been overlooked by manager Ernesto Valverde ever since his summer move to Barcelona.
Arsenal could now rescue him from Barca, however, as the Sun report of the north Londoners stepping up their interest during attempts to sign his team-mate Denis Suarez.
The Sun’s report states Malcom would cost around £50m and that Arsenal could meet that asking price, which is just the kind of ambition Gooners want from their club.
The exciting 21-year-old would surely be a considerable upgrade on players like Alex Iwobi and Henrikh Mkhitaryan in attacking midfield, while Mesut Ozil has recently fallen out of favour.
