‘It’s a no-brainer’ - Unai Emery told to complete big January deal

ARSENAL boss Unai Emery has been told he must sell Mesut Ozil in the upcoming transfer window.

Ozil has not played for Arsenal since the 1-1 draw with Wolves on November 11.

The German was left on the bench for the 2-1 win at Bournemouth nine days ago and was out with a back injury for the north London derby victory over Tottenham on Sunday.

Ozil only signed a new contract at Arsenal in January to keep him at the club until 2021.

But former Wimbledon midfielder turned actor Vinnie Jones says it is time the Gunners parted company with the £350,000-a-week star.

Jones says Arsenal should instead focus on keeping Aaron Ramsey, who is out of contract at the end of the season.

“I’m not a fan of Ozil, so that (selling him) is a no-brainer for me,” Jones told talkSPORT.

“Ozil is a bit of a luxury player.

“If things are going well, it’s alright having Ozil in there pinging it about doing those one-twos.

“But if you need a player to get in there in the midfield and get stuck in, someone like Aaron Ramsey is much more important.”

Arsenal legend Ray Parlour agrees with Jones and is desperate for Ramsey to stay.

“My personal decision would be that I’d rather keep Ramsey than Ozil,” Parlour said.

“I think Aaron brings a little bit to the team.

“Mesut Ozil is a great player, I’m not doubting that, but you can leave him out.
